Research:
In Legacy Russell’s Glitch Feminism (2020) she included a black, trans poet, Anaïs Duplan to speak about “cosmic bodies” (p39). While I have not taken the time to really process through some of Duplan’s work thoroughly, I have been greatly inspired by how Duplan talks about the body.

This inspiration is a desire to include more writing into my work. I want to incorporate poetry into the audio portion of my project.
As an aesthetic exploration I also looked a doom metal artists and studied there albums for composition and texture:

Progress:
Progress this week was mainly focused in aesthetic exploration. This has resulted in sketches and a rough draft of the spoken part of the audio portion. With this writing I am trying to balance pacing over a 10 to 12 minute experience. Another issue I am encountering is how aggressive I should be with the writing.

Reflection:
Even though I have a strong idea of what I want to do, the execution and full realization of the project is turning out more difficult than I anticipated. I should be deep in production this next week.
