This portrait series explores the concept of Jealousy. This is not longterm jealousy but a single moment that causes thoughts to be uncontrollable.
Chiaroscuro Portrait Study
One of the concepts that have fascinated by since I learned of it is Chiaroscuro. I enjoy exploring the implications and layers gained by cloaking my subjects in darkness. There is another facet of mine that causes me to enjoy Chiaroscuro — my background. I came from a strict religious household where I was taught that I would be a light to the dark world around. This concept has heavily influenced my artwork.
Street Photography
My body of work does not just remain in the studio. Wherever I go my camera goes to. When I photograph street scenes I do it with the same artistic intent as the rest of my work. I look for stories, juxtapositions, and layers of meaning when take my camera to the street.
